To both reduce and responsibly offset our carbon footprint, EGS Australia has enlisted the help of Everclime, an Australian-based sustainability and impact monitoring platform founded in 2022.

We are pleased to share that EGS is now fully set up on the Everclime platform, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to the environment.

The launch of our dedicated page on Everclime’s website provides clients, partners, and stakeholders with clear visibility of our progress and our ongoing sustainability investments.

Working together, EGS and Everclime have outlined several emission reduction pathways, based on the findings from our Emission Baseline Assessment.

These include numerous changes that have already been implemented, such as reducing the office electricity load by installing zone controls, better segregation of waste and a shift in freight methods.

Ongoing initiatives include scaling our USV program to significantly reduce diesel use and carbon emissions from our survey operations, as well as the installation of solar photovoltaic panels at our Fremantle office.

We will also be looking to offset some of our largest impacts, including diesel fuel and internal flights, by partnering with verified, trusted and traceable carbon offset and nature‑based projects.

EGS has already worked alongside Citizens of the Reef, a conservation initiative cataloguing the Great Barrier Reef using citizen science. EGS provided the 12 m survey catamaran, EGS Tamoya, facilitating the survey of more than 20 reefs over 9 days, providing thousands of images for analysis.
